Danica McKellar Files For Divorce From Her Husband Mike Verta

Danica McKellar has now had heartbreak in her own love life as she divorced form her husband Mike Verta after three years of their marriage. The 37-year-old actress, who portrayed Winnie Cooper in the hit show, files the documents against her husband today.

She is best known for playing Winnie Cooper on ABC’s play, The Wonder Years. “She went on to author three books on mathematics with titles such as “Math Doesn’t Suck” and “Kiss My Math.”

The pair has a one-year-old baby boy together, Draco. Danica interviewed to the TMZ: “I am saddened by the end of my marriage to Mike Verta. However, we are committed to raising our son together and we are focused on remaining the best parents we can be.”

They were dating since 2001 and coupled in March 22, 2009 in San Diego, California. The reports from the website that the couple split just last week and allegedly have a prenuptial agreement which covers all of their property.

The case filed at LA County Superior Court and Danica cites irreconcilable differences in the divorce papers. TMZ claims that the actress wants to split and asking for joint and physical custody of their young son.

The actress has written three best-selling books educating children in mathematics from her past efforts opposite Fred Savage in The Wonder Years. Recently years, she has also performed in several episodes of hit TV comedies How I Met Your Mother and The Big Bang Theory.
